Ingredients for Chard Stem Soup (Delicious) Description

  • 1 bicep stems
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cup of Turkish coffee with rice
  • 1 liter of water
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons of flour

A few years ago after wrapping chard leaves I couldn’t bear to throw away the stems, I searched the internet and found it on the kitchen window site. Since then, every time I buy chard, I make this soup with the stems. It’s really delicious, definitely try it.

Put the grated garlic in a pan with olive oil, add the grated carrot and the chard stems cut into small cubes and fry until they change colour, add the water. When the water boils, add the rice and cook until soft. Beat the yogurt with the flour, add a little of the soup water and beat again, and gradually add the soup to the soup, stirring constantly. After boiling for one more time, turn off the heat and add the salt. Sprinkle with black pepper when serving. Enjoy your meal:)
